The Los Angeles Film Festival 2015

5 must-see movies to check out at L.A.’s Animation Is Film festival this weekend

On Sunday, June 13th, we’ll be making our way across the city to check out all of the must-see movies at Animation Is Film. This year, we’re hosting the festival at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, located at 1111 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA.

In past years, we’ve enjoyed seeing classic animation classics such as Disney’s Fantasia and Disney’s Fantasia 2000 alongside more contemporary films like Tim Burton’s Dumbo and Pixar’s Ratatouille. But with the festival running through the weekend, we’ve got a great selection of movies from the last two decades that range from comedies, dramas and animated tales to blockbusters including The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Shrek Forever After.

We’ll be able to see these and many more films at the festival, so if you’re heading out to the Westside, be sure to pick up your badge of entry at the Museum of Art to ensure you get in on the action. Headlining the festival are the voices of Sam Shepherd and Jennifer Hale, who are making their festival debut. If you love the voices of Sam and Jennifer, be sure to check out their voices on YouTube.

If you can’t make it out to the festival, there’s also over 500 movies in the library of the Museum of Art. The library is located on the fourth floor.

If you’re heading over to the festival, be sure to check out the festival on our Los Angeles Film Festival 2015 site.
