US Capitol Police arrest driver after clearing suspicious vehicle near Supreme Court

UPDATE: On Sunday, April 22, the Capitol Police arrested a man suspected of driving a suspicious vehicle in the Capitol. The man was released from jail and it is not immediately clear if he is connected to the attempted bombing.

Capitol Police released these photos of the motorcade that included the man suspected of leading the driver and two vehicles that were towed away on Capitol Police motorcade lorry.

UPDATE: On Monday, April 23, DC Police Commissioner and former U.S. Secret Service member Charles H. Ramsey released a statement on the incident. “I have been briefed on the investigation into a suspicious vehicle observed on the Capitol grounds yesterday,” he said.

“The Capitol Police have completed their investigation and have determined that the vehicle was stolen and has been found, and we are releasing photos of it.”
