“Entourage” star is training for a role in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”

Grey Poupon’s Don’t Worry Dijon wants a taste of Olivia Wilde’s salad-dressing drama “Oscars.” Instead, he’ll drink from a bottle of vodka.

The 27-year-old “The Americans” star is being trained for a role opposite Nicole Kidman in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” a film about the life of fashion designer Ferran Adrià. The Oscar winner will play Cristina, the starlet who was Ferran’s first and closest girlfriend.

“Oscars” co-stars Meryl Streep, Jeremy Irons and Mandy Patinkin, all of whom have previously worked with Poupon. The “Mad Men” star, who is also an executive producer of the film, is currently filming “The Great Gatsby,” a drama about the American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Poupon’s father, Robert, is a music producer whose credits include albums from John Mayer and The Roots. His mother is a businesswoman; she runs a company involved in the distribution of medical supplies.

“I’m more of a homebody, but when I’m in a room — when I’m in the middle of something, I’m not a homebody,” Poupon has said of his home life. “There’s something you can’t put into words, when you spend most of your life within a room.”

Poupon, who is 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, is best known for his portrayal of Kevin Walker on “Entourage.” “Entourage” creator Doug Ellin created the character, and Poupon has said his goal with the new role is to bring a new perspective to the character.

“I want to try to bring forth the person I’m not as a human being, as myself, as a human being,” he said of his character on “Entourage.” “I want to be a more real human being. I want to be more of a real person. I want to be more of a total human — more of a real person.”

In “Oscars,” Poupon will play a woman who helps Olivia Wilde, who plays Nicole Kidman’s mother in “Vicky,” find
